Gujarat Elections 2017: BJP discharges third rundown of 28 applicants

AHMEDABAD: The Bharatiya Janata Party or BJP has discharged its third rundown of 28 contender for forthcoming Gujarat Elections 2017.

The gathering has just discharged a moment rundown of 36 hopefuls on Saturday and a first rundown of 70 competitors on Friday.

Generally speaking, the gathering has reported 134 possibility for decisions to the 182-part Gujarat Assembly races to be held in two stages on December 9 and 14.

Boss Minister Vijaybhai Rupani will challenge from Rajkot West, while Deputy CM Nitinbhai Patel will challenge from Mahesana and state party president Jitubhai Vaghani from Bhavnagar West.

The names were settled by BJP's Central Election Committee, which met on Wednesday.

The meeting, led by BJP president Amit Shah, was gone to by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Rajnath Singh and Minister of External Affairs Sushma Swaraj among others.

On Sunday, the Congress discharged its initially rundown of 77 contender for the Gujarat Assembly races with senior pioneers from the state Shaktisinh Gohil and Arjun Modhwadia getting tickets.
